The Patient Records department is expanding and branching out its remits across all the departments within the KPH Group. The successful candidate needs to be highly motivated and committed to producing high quality results, an eye for detail and works to the best of their ability.

Location 10 Falcon Way, Boucher Road, Belfast. Occasional travel to other sites as required
Salary £19,000 - £22,060 per annum
Department Patient Records
Contract Full Time Permanent 
Hours 37.5 per week, Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm
Responsible to Medical Records Supervisor
Accountable to Patient Records Manager

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administration duties that will come into the department including, uploading confidential documents, preparing notes, result retrieval to name a few.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of patient notes through the filing of all investigation results and reports in a precise manner.
  • Helping to prepare notes for clinics.
  • Retrieve lab results.
  • Sending confidential post to relevant Trusts and GP services.
  • Any other general duties which may be required.

 

The above list is not exhaustive and additional / alternative tasks may be required from time to time as directed.

 

Person Specification:

Qualifications

Essential

  • 5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent

 

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of experience in the full MS Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a medical records environment

 

Special Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and busy office environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when dealing with patient records
