I graduated from Cardiff University in 2020. I am originally from Derry and have worked the last 10 months in Altnagelvin Hospital.
My job within the Western Health and Social Care Trust was rotational and as such I was fortunate to gain experience within lots of different departments. These included: ICU, HDU, the surgical/medical wards, and within Trauma and Orthopaedics. However, my interests have always been within Musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
I have worked as a physio with various sports teams since I have graduated including Carryduff GAC, Derry City Youth teams and Institute FC. Alongside my studies I also completed my Level 4 Sports Massage Qualification and using this I have worked at different events including the Cardiff Half Marathon, Derry Marathon and the British Transplant Games.
I was a bit later starting my Physiotherapy degree, so I have had various other jobs- my favourite was doing lifeguarding and wakeboard/water-ski instructing at a summer camp in America.
Outside of Physio I love all things GAA and have played in the Asian Gaelic Games. I currently play for Steelstown Brain Ogs. When I’m not working, I love spending my free time in Greencastle, County Donegal, either in the sea or hacking up around the Golf course.
