Rapid Access Urology Clinic

If you are experiencing any problems relating to the kidneys, bladder, male genitalia, testes or prostate gland, the Rapid Access Urology Clinic at Kingsbridge Private Hospital can offer fast, effective diagnosis and treatment.

Our team of experienced GPs and Consultant Urologists have developed a comprehensive Rapid Access Urology Clinic offering men a comprehensive service offering for any problems relating to their waterworks in the privacy and comfort of a five star hospital.

The bespoke clinic is led by our experienced GP specialising in men’s health and offers patients:

Clinical History

Blood tests are usually taken after your examination to test for kidney function and Prostate Specific Antigen, a measure of inflammation or potential malignancy in the prostate gland.

Urinalysis

You will be asked to provide a urine sample at your appointment which will be tested by the GP using a urine test strip or dipstick, which will help determine any pathological changes in your urine.

Uroflow

At the same time, you will be taken to a private toilet facility where you will be asked to urinate so that we may assess the flow of your urine. This is assessed by the most up-to-date technology and results are delivered to the GP instantly using Bluetooth, ensuring that the upmost prvacy is adhered to at all times.

Post Void Scan

Following the emptying of the bladder an Ultrasound Scan of the bladder is completed by the GP to assess how much urine might be remaining in the bladder after passing as much urine as completely possible.

When your appointment is completed, your will be provided with a summary of the findings of the assessment before you are discharged. The blood samples will need to be sent to the lab and therefore your blood results will be provided a few days after your appointment.

Depending on the results of your assessment, there are two options:

  1. The GP can offer treatment for a number of simple problems which can cause waterworks trouble at your appointment.
  2.  The GP can provide a seamless and rapid referral to an experienced team of Consultant Urologists at Kingsbridge Private Hospital to fully investigate and treat more complex issues.

The Rapid Access Urology Clinic at Kingsbridge Private Hospital offers male patients a fast and seamless diagnosis and treatment service delivered by a specialist team of healthcare professionals.
