This confidential service is offered in a private setting for both male and female clients at Kingsbridge Private Hospital on the Lisburn Road in Belfast.

Our specialist medical team is available at short notice for the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and the investigation of pain associated with sex or STIs. 


Instant Sexual Health Testing at Kingsbridge Private Hospital

KPH are now launching Instant Sexual Health tests in alignment with B2K’s current offering allowing patients the choice of where to attend for instant testing.

Instant tests appointment includes the cost of GP/ Nurse lead consultation, processing of the test and results. Please note these appointments DO NOT include the cost of any additional treatment or subsequent review appointments, which will need to be booked separately.

Costs are as follows;

     

Instant Six Tests

  • HIV I/II 28 day test
  • Chlamydia (swab)
  • Gonorrhoea (swab)
  • Syphilis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C

Test cannot be taken until 28 days after any potential exposure. Results in around 30 minutes while you wait.

Instant Four Tests

  • HIV I/II 28 day test
  • Chlamydia (swab)
  • Gonorrhoea (swab)
  • Syphilis
Test cannot be taken until 28 days after any potential exposure. Results in around 30 minutes while you wait.

Instant Four Blood Tests

  • HIV I/II 28 day test
  • Hepatitis B

Please be aware that individual instant testing can only be completed 10-28 days after potential exposure depending on the test.  Please see below for the period of time you must wait before being tested:

Chlamydia: 14 days

Gonorrhoea: 14 days

Syphilis: 14 days

Hepatitis B: 28 Days

Hepatitis c: 10 days

HIV: 28 days

 


 

We also offer STI health screen packages which have been designed to offer you peace of mind at a price which is affordable to you.  Results for these tests are not instant, but should be available within three to five working days, however if your test is carried out prior to a weekend this may take longer. Our packages are listed below;

 

Simple 2 £130

Testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Test cannot be taken until 14 days after any potential exposure.

 

Standard 6 £245

Testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.

Test cannot be taken until 28 days after any potential exposure.

 

Complete 12 £345

Testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, Gardnerella, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, Herpes Simplex 1, Herpes Simplex 2, HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.

Test cannot be taken until 28 days after any potential exposure.

Chlamydia Treatment

Chlamydia It is one of the most common STI’s. It is known as the silent STI as up to 75% women and               50% men can have no symptoms.

 

Genital Herpes

Genital Herpes is a viral infection which is easily transmitted from person to person. It is caused by the Herpes simplex virus which is of 2 types and characteristically presents as painful blistering skin lesions, but only type 2 is an STI found in the genital area

 

Genital Warts - HPV Vaccination

Genital Warts are a very common STI. They usually present as non-painful lumps in the genital are caused by the HPV virus.

 

Gonorrhea Treatment

Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection which can cause vaginal/penile discharge, pelvic pain, or pain on passing urine.

 

Hepatitis

Hepatitis B (HEPB) is a virus that can be transmitted by sexual intercourse and cause inflammation of the liver.

Hepatitis C (HEPC) is a virus is usually transmitted from sharing needles, from mother to baby but also through sexual contact.

 

HIV Rapid Test

HIV is a virus that can cause AIDS. It can be transmitted by sexual intercourse and stays in the body for life, attacking your immune system so that you are unable to fight infections.

 

Syphilis Treatment

Syphilis is caused by direct contact with a syphilis sore or lesion. Ulcers can be found in the genital area and also in the mouth.

 

Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a STI that can cause vaginal/penile discharge. It is caused by the trichomoniasis parasite.

If you are worried about a particular exposure and you have no symptoms, it is advisable to wait 2 weeks before you are screened.
