At 3fivetwo, all of our Consultant Psychiatrists have extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health problems and specialise in problems that adults may suffer from during their lives.
Common conditions treated in adult patients include:
- low mood and depression
- social anxiety
- work related stress
- post-traumatic stress
- alcohol and drug problems
- obsessive behaviours
- Bipolar disorder
- Schizophrenia and other psychosis
A private psychiatry consultation at 3fivetwo will last around 45 minutes. During this assessment the Consultant will take a full history asking about symptoms, current circumstances, family background and physical health.
At the consultation you will be advised whether any investigations are appropriate e.g. blood tests or scans as some psychiatric conditions can be caused by physical illness. The consultant will discuss in detail the treatments that may be beneficial. These may include therapeutic interventions or counselling through 3fivetwo Consultant Psychologists and/or medication.
They will offer a private psychiatry follow-up appointment if required. All questions regarding treatment options will be discussed before agreeing a management plan and way forward.
Occasionally it may be necessary for a second opinion to be sought e.g. from a neurologist or cardiologist if physical health problems are suspected. This will be discussed with you before making a referral.
