Magnetic Resonance Imaging, also known as MRI is used to take images of the body's organs. Unlike CT scans or traditional X-rays, MRI does not produce X-rays.

An MRI usually takes up to 30 minutes and patients can be given headphones to listen to music to help them relax.

We have rapid access to the scanning sites at Northern MRI based on the Malone Road, Belfast and the Alliance Medical scanner network with sites including Belfast’s Mater Hospital and Ballykelly, Co.Antrim .

We are able to offer MRI scans for:

· Orthopaedics MRI

· Cardiac MRI (Heart)

· Vascular MRI ( MRAngiogram)

· Paediatric MRI without sedation ( the parent and child can be scanned together In the wide bore magnet)
