Dr Matt Forbes

Dr. Forbes completed his undergraduate medical training at The University Of Sheffield in 2008. After graduation he worked at Imperial College NHS Trust, London. During his training, he developed an interest in improving quality of care and patient safety where he undertook further research.

He obtained membership of the Royal College Of General Practitioners in 2013 and worked as a GP partner, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne before returning Northern Ireland in 2015.

When he returned, he developed a portfolio career and undertook additional training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine. In addition to working as an NHS GP, he also work in Craigavon Area Hospital as a GP with specialist interest in antenatal care and early pregnancy.

Working as a private GP with Kingsbridge, gives Dr. Forbes time to provide holistic care for patients, empowering patients to take control of their health and focus on disease prevention.

Personal profile

When not working Dr.Forbes loves being outdoors with family, usually having a picnic in a forest or climbing a mountain.  He enjoys running and is a member of his local running club.  During time off he enjoys heading off to Donegal to surf and loves snowboarding in the winter.
