Gillian grew up and studied in London. In 1993, while studying for her BSc.(Hons) Food Science Degree in London Gillian successfully secured a prestigious research post in Nutrition and Heart Disease with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Belfast.
Gillian Killiner is an award-winning, world-renowned Specialist Consultant Dietitian with 25 years’ experience treating 1000’s of people from 0-100+.
She qualified with a Masters Degree (MSc.) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland 1997. Her specialist training was in The Charter Mark award winning Dietetic Department at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Her successful career spans throughout Hospitals in Northern Ireland, specialising in; Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Paediatrics, Cancer and laterly the Lead Specialist Dietitian for the Regional Haematology Unit at BCH.
She treats all aspects of Diet and Health and has been the resident Dietitian here at Kingsbridge Private Hospital for 12 years.
She is uniquely skilled in combining her extensive nutritional knowledge in all areas of medicine, health and wellness, paediatrics, and sport performance optimisation.
Gillian trained in Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital before settling in Belfast and she has covered every speciality in her 12 years in the NHS with a specialist post in Haematology.
Gillian has worked with all levels of athletes optimising their diet, lifestyle, and performance. Her clients include NI commonwealth team members and Olympians.
Gillian’s programmes are designed specifically for each individual and based on many important pieces of data that are collected, tracked, and improved to ensure you are optimal from top to toe!
Gut health is one of her specialist areas fixing the most complex to the most common – her programmes assist patients with diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, coeliac, ulcerative colitis, Crohns, allergy, food intolerances.
Weight and resistant weight loss can be so upsetting and linked to many issues including hormones, medication, previous illness etc these can be assessed and addressed at Gillian’s clinic.
Gillian is highly skilled at treating eating disorders and in addition Long COVID is an area that Gillian has now been seeing and treating since May 2020.

Personal profile
Gillian is married, has 3 children, and has a crazy rescue collie dog that she runs with daily keeping her fit! She appreciates all aspects of life as her mother has lived with MS since Gillian was 5 years old. Gillian herself after her 3rd pregnancy became ill with an autoimmune disease– her many skills allowed her to put this successfully into remission and get back to full health.
Gillian loves to cook, eat, and enjoys the outdoors. Travelling is a highlight, and she has been fortunate to see some interesting places.
