Consultants
Ms Karen Randhawa is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and is Northern Ireland’s first regional specialist Andrologist.
She specialises in all peno-scrotal disorders including foreskin problems, penile curvature, erectile dysfunction, scrotal swellings and male factor infertility. She accepts regional referrals from urologists throughout Northern Ireland for complex andrology, penile prostheses and male infertility in her NHS practice.
Ms Randhawa is also head of the Regional Penile Cancer Service for Northern Ireland, where she has established a regional specialist cancer service based at Altnagelvin Hospital.
She completed her registrar training in general urology in Northern Ireland, following which she completed andrology and penile cancer fellowships in world-renowned specialist centres in Edinburgh and London. She has a keen interest in teaching, and is an Honorary Lecturer with Queens University Belfast. She has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education and is an accredited member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers with Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She has taught and chaired at national urological conferences in her specialist fields.
Ms Randhawa has presented research at both national and international conferences and has authored both journal articles and book chapters in her specialist field. She is also a Fellow of the European College of Sexual Medicine.
