Dr Nirodi is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in the diagnosis, ongoing management and care of older clients with both neurodegenerative and functional illness, and younger adults also with functional disorders and ADHD.
She has a wealth of experience as a substantive consultant, most recently having worked with Tees Esk Wear Valley NHS Trust in liaison psychiatry and crisis mental health, as a substantive for over 20 years and now as a locum with SE HSE.
She has a Medical Degree from Queens University Belfast, Diplomas in Geriatric Medicine and Mental Health, as well as being a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She has trained in biofeedback technique (using HeartMath tool) to help reduce stress and emotional overwhelm and well as being a therapist in Rapid Transformational Therapy (which uses NLP and hypnotherapy to transform negative patterns of thought, emotions and behaviours).
Dr Nirodi has extensive experience in providing diagnostic assessments and is a competent Medico-Legal Expert for capacity assessments (as part of court of protection process).
Dr Nirodi is a thoughtful, compassionate, and client-centred clinician who is respected by patients and colleagues alike. She draws on all her skills to establish the best available outcome and reflect on her own practice in order to maintain an excellent service to her patients. She is passionate about educating patients in using a variety of evidence based self-recovery tools.
